Skill Level - Beginner

This paper leaf template is suitable for beginners. The paper leaf stem is an easy one to make when you first get started, and the skills you learn will help to make more paper foliage in the future.

Time

30 mins - 1 hour (excluding dry time)

As an experienced paper florist I can make this leaf stem in 10-15 minutes (or less if I'm working in batches). When you're first starting out I would allow extra time to get the hang of things, typically around 1 hour per stem.

Materials List

Heavyweight German or Italian 140g or 180g crepe paper in green.
Floral Tape or Green Crepe to wrap the stem
Floral Wire - Paper or fabric covered - 3 x 20 gauge, 1 x 16 gauge
Scissors
Pliers
Tacky glue
Cocktail Stick and small pot

This printable paper leaf template is suitable for beginner paper florists, and is a great choice if you want some foliage to accompany your first paper flower project.

It can be used to create filler foliage to sit alongside single stem blooms or incorporated into bouquets and larger paper flower arrangements.
