This paper flower template is suitable for beginners and experienced paper florists alike. The paper chrysanthemum is a popular choice to make as your first paper flower.

Time

1 - 2 hours

This paper flower has LOTS of petals! It can take a while to cut them all out.

As an experienced paper florist I can make this flower in 45 minutes (or less if I'm working in batches). When you're first starting out I would allow extra time to get the hang of things, typically around 2 hours per flower.

NOTE - Because of the amount and small size of the petals, this might not be the best flower to choose if you suffer with arthritis or carpal tunnel.

Materials List

Heavyweight German or Italian 140 or 180g crepe paper (in petal colour and green).
Floral wire - 1 x 16 gauge
Tacky glue
Scissors
Pliers
Cocktail stick
Small pot

Finished size is approx. 3" diameter.

Trim the wire to whatever height you need.
