This paper flower template is suitable for beginners and experienced paper florists alike.

Time

45 mins - 1 hour (making time)

Actual making time for this paper flower is quite quick, but you need to allow time for drying between some of the steps. Some of these are best left overnight, or at least for a few hours.

You can also really speed up the time per flower if you work in batches to make lots of paper anemones in one go!

Materials List

Heavyweight German crepe paper - petal, centre, and leaf colour. (I'm using Lia Griffith Plum, Spearmint and Onyx in the video)
Floral wire - 16 or 18 gauge, paper or cloth covered
Tacky glue
Small pot and cocktail stick (optional)
Ruler or measuring tape
Scissors
Cocktail stick or wire off-cut (optional)
Pliers
Mod Podge - matte or glossy
Mop brush
Cling Wrap (or other workspace protection)

TIP- Spearmint and Basil are very similar colours, so if you are buying the Botanical Gardens crepe paper pack to get the Onyx colour, you could easily swap Spearmint for Basil instead!

Dimensions

Finished size of the flower head is approx. 4 1/2" diameter.

Trim the wire to whatever height you need. (Mine are about 15" high)
