This paper flower template is suitable for intermediate and advanced paper florists.
The sunflower has several important steps to get the centre to look right, so I would recommend starting with some easier flowers first if you are new to paper flower making.

2 - 3 hours (excluding dry time)
As an experienced paper florist I can make this flower in about an hour in total (or less if I'm working in batches). However this doesn't include drying time between stages. It's important to allow time for the glue to set properly to avoid your petals slipping.
When you're first starting out I would allow extra time to get the hang of things, typically around 2 -3 hours per flower.

- Heavyweight German crepe paper or Italian 140g - I'm using Lia Griffith Nectarine, Amber, Gold, Juniper, and Onyx
- Scrap crepe paper in any colour
- Floral wire, paper or cloth covered - 16 or 18 gauge x 1, 22 or 24 gauge x 2
- Tacky glue
- Small pot and cocktail stick (optional)
- Ruler or measuring tape
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Mod Podge
- Mop brush
- Pan Pastels in Burnt Sienna and Yellow Ochre/Oxide
- Sponge or Sofft Tools

This printable crepe paper sunflower template includes three different flower sizes that are designed to work both on their own and together:
- EXTRA LARGE creates a bold, statement sunflower and works well as a stand-alone stem or when you want a strong focal point in an arrangement. (Approx. 10" diameter)
- STANDARD gives you a classic sunflower size and looks best grouped in small bunches, such as a bouquet of three or five stems. (Approx. 7" diameter)
- MINI is ideal for adding lots of smaller sunflowers throughout a bouquet, helping to fill space and add detail without overwhelming the arrangement. (Approx. 4" diameter)
The templates can be used to create single sunflower blooms, full stems, or incorporated into bouquets and larger paper flower arrangements. The different sizes work well together for adding variation and scale to an arrangement.
Print the templates at home and cut the shapes from crepe paper. Follow along with the same step-by-step video tutorial for all three sizes, where I will guide you through shaping and assembling each step of the paper sunflower.
