This paper flower template is suitable for beginners and experienced paper florists alike. The paper peony is a popular choice to make as your first paper flower.

As an experienced paper florist I can make this flower in 30 minutes (or less if I'm working in batches). When you're first starting out I would allow extra time to get the hang of things, typicaly around 2 hours per flower.
Materials List
Heavyweight German crepe paper - I'm using Lia Griffith Coral and Juniper but use any colours you like

Finished size is approx. 7" diameter.
You can make it smaller by placing the petals tighter, to get a closed peony, or larger by making them more open, like a peony in full bloom.
Trim the wire to whatever height you need.
